Native Plant Garden: One Year Later
A thoughtfully designed native plant garden doesn’t reach its full potential on installation day. It grows more beautiful with every season! One of the greatest rewards of our work is seeing these landscapes mature into thriving ecosystems that support wildlife, while also bringing lasting joy to the homeowners who enjoy them every day.
When we design a native plant garden, our goal isn’t simply to create something beautiful on installation day. We design landscapes that grow into their space, support birds, bees, butterflies, and other beneficial wildlife, and become more beautiful with each passing season.
This project, installed in October 2025, is a perfect example.
Native Plant Garden Designed to Grow
The homeowners wanted to transform the traditional lawn surrounding their small farm into a thriving native landscape that would attract pollinators and other beneficial insects. The client had multiple areas of their property they wanted to transform. Together we decided to start with the neglected area of broken concrete and gravel that they hoped to turn into a welcoming outdoor living space with a patio and fire pit.
When selecting plants for this project, we carefully considered bloom times, textures, heights, and wildlife value so there would always be something happening in the garden throughout the growing season.
That thoughtful planning is exactly what makes a sustainable native landscape even more rewarding as time goes on.

One Year Later: A Thriving Native Plant Garden
Nearly a year after installation, the homeowners reached out with updated photos and a message that perfectly captures why we love creating these spaces.
“The garden is phenomenal, it’s truly a source of joy. Most of the plants have taken root and are blooming/spreading.
The bees, butterflies, moths, and others are very active. It’s a delight. We built an enclosure with raised bed vegetable gardens alongside, and are benefitting from the insect traffic.
We can’t overstate what a quality of life improvement having this space is. Absolutely thrilled with the work your team did, and the thoughtful planning you did to have something blooming nearly all year long.”
