Lauren’s Garden Service carefully selects and inspects all plant material to ensure high quality at the time of installation. Plants are sourced from reputable local nurseries and are guaranteed to be alive, pest-free, and in good condition on the day of installation. All work is completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard industry practices.

Limited Plant Guarantee

Lauren’s Garden Service offers a limited guarantee on shrubs and trees only that die as a result of pest or disease within 4 weeks of planting, provided the client has followed proper care guidelines. Eligible plants will be replaced one time only.

Annuals are excluded. Liability is limited to the value of the plant material only.

Exclusions

This guarantee does not cover plant loss or damage resulting from:

• Overwatering or underwatering
• Deer or other animal browsing
• Weather conditions, environmental stress, or acts of nature
• Improper maintenance or neglect

Reporting Requirements

To remain eligible for the plant guarantee, clients must report concerns within the following timeframes:

• Installations April–October:
  Concerns and photos must be reported as soon as noticed and no later than one (1) month after installation.
• Installations November–December:
  Concerns and photos must be reported by late April. Plants should be monitored through late May, and updated photos must be provided if concerns persist.

Failure to report concerns within these timeframes voids the guarantee.

Replacement Process

Requests for replacement plants must be submitted via email and include clear photos of the affected plant(s) and the quantity requested. Replacement plants must be picked up by the client at our nursery in Ellicott City.

Deer Resistance Disclaimer

When requested, deer-resistant plants will be selected to the best of our ability. “Deer resistant” indicates that plants are generally avoided or lightly browsed, but deer behavior is unpredictable. No refunds or replacements are provided for plant damage caused by wildlife.

Seasonal Appearance

Plant appearance varies by season and time of installation. Lauren’s Garden Service designs landscapes with multi-season interest in mind. Seasonal changes in appearance do not constitute plant failure.

Maintenance Recommendation

Ongoing garden care is strongly recommended to ensure the long-term health and success of the landscape. We suggest regular maintenance by a professional garden company that specializes in naive plants to best manage your newly installed beds.
