A Native Pollinator Garden for a Client in New Windsor, MD
Our client in New Windsor, MD, reached out with a vision to replace non-native species with native species around their home. They wanted a native pollinator garden that would provide color throughout the growing season.
Initially, the existing landscape was sparse and needed a refresh. To meet the client’s goals, we focused on incorporating native shrubs and perennials that fit the space of the bed and provided a structured look. By choosing native species, we are able to create an eco-friendly garden that attracts pollinators and provides color throughout the growing season.
By incorporating native plants into the beds around the house significantly added both beauty and functionality to the home. Plants like Red Chokeberry, Red Twig Dogwood, Tickseed, Ox-eye Sunflower, and Smooth Asters were selected to provide vibrant colors, diverse textures, and seasonal interest. In addition, these plants attract beneficial insects and provide food and shelter for local wildlife, thus contributing to a healthy, sustainable environment.

Our design creates a welcoming natural space that our client can enjoy for years to come. By focusing on native species, we successfully balance beauty with environmental responsibility.
